Sylvie LeBlanc

Osteopath

Sylvie is a graduate of the Collège d’études Ostéopathiques de Montreal at the Halifax Campus – Manual Osteopathy program and from Université de Moncton – Science of Kinesiology program. From an early age she knew she wanted to pursue a career in which she could make difference in the quality of life of others.

Osteopathy is a preventative and curative manual therapy that aims to optimise a person’s general health and function so that they may enjoy a better quality of life. Taking care of the whole body to ensure that it is functioning at its most optimal state. The science of osteopathy incorporates a holistic approach to the patient’s health, and it is built upon an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and their interrelationships.

Osteopathy is an effective treatment for various symptoms and conditions such as: Acute or Chronic Pain, Digestive Problems, Musculoskeletal injuries, TMD (temporomandibular disorder), headaches and migraines. From supporting mothers and babies; keeping the elderly active and mobile; aiding recovery from muscle and joint injuries, or contributing to the management of chronic long-term conditions, an osteopath will take the time to help you stay healthy and mobile. Each individualised treatment includes a wide variety of techniques that are adapted to each patient and their state of health. She is committed to broadening her manual therapy skill set to better treat each of her patients by taking continuing education courses on a regular basis.

Outside of work, Sylvie loves being outdoors, spending time with her pets, tending to her plant collection and ridding her horses. In the past, she was a competitive dressage rider with her sport horse Mischief Managed.
